From October 5–8, 2025, the best junior judoka from around the world will gather in Lima, Peru for the prestigious Junior World Judo Championships. Christopher Velazco – Ranked No. 2 on the Junior World Ranking List, Chris has had a phenomenal season. He took silver at both the Junior Pan American Games and Junior Pan American Championships, while also claiming Senior National Champion status. His gold medals at the Prague Junior European Cup and Tunis African Open prove he is a serious contender for the top of the podium in Lima.
Jonathan Yang – The 2024 Cadet World Champion has transitioned into juniors with remarkable success. Jonathan earned bronze medals at both the Junior and Senior Pan American Championships and made an impression on the IJF World Tour, placing 5th at the Linz Grand Prix. He even qualified for the Senior World Championships, showing his rapid rise through the ranks.

Emily Jaspe – Ranked No. 4 in the world, Emily has been one of the most consistent performers this season, earning silver medals at the Junior Pan American Championships and Junior Pan American Games.
